Built using Yamamoto #39 and #40 limestone rubber, it features our hydrophobic Windshield laminate across the back and hood, flexible Yamamoto SCS-taped upper body seams and a redesigned floating bib. A limited release focused on additional warmth, flexibility and durability, without compromising the comfort and fit you'd expect from Simpel.

Yamamoto #39 + #40
The Development Edition runs Yamamoto #39 and #40 limestone rubber throughout. #39 brings exceptional warmth and buoyancy through its closed-cell structure. #40 adds a lower elastic modulus for less resistance in the paddle and cleaner return to shape. A layered wetsuit performance profile across warmth, float and flex.
Simpel windshield Lamination
The back panel and hood feature our hydrophobic Windshield laminate. Its water-repellent outer surface helps shed water and reduce wind chill across exposed areas. Unlike conventional smoothskin materials, Windshield can also be stitched, allowing us to reinforce the seams for improved durability without sacrificing flexibility. A considered combination of warmth, performance and construction designed to last.
SCS Taped Seams
Yamamoto SCS tape reinforces all upper body seams internally. Made from thin, flexible rubber with Yamamoto's Super Composite Skin surface treatment, it provides additional reinforcement without the bulk of heavier seam materials. The smooth SCS surface has low friction against the skin and dries quickly. Its high-stretch construction reinforces the seams without compromising flexibility across the shoulders and upper body.

Super Stretch Rear Lower Leg Lining
Lightweight, super-stretch lower leg linings by design. We've selected a soft, flexible lining that runs from behind the knees to the ankles, reducing resistance and allowing greater freedom of movement. It's a small detail that makes a noticeable difference. All the warmth you'd expect from a 4/3mm, with the flexibility and feel of a lighter suit.
Redesigned Bib Template
A new floating bib template offers increased mobility and symmetrical feel through the shoulders, reduces material across the upper chest at the point of greatest restriction through a paddle stroke. Combined with the easy synch Bib cord, it keeps the seal tight while returning range of motion across the chest and shoulders.
Updated Chest Toggle
We've redesigned the chest toggle with a double bungee system for a more secure seal. The dual cords distribute tension more evenly across the bib, helping keep it firmly in place and reducing water entry. The adjustable cord lock and extended pull tab make it easy to tighten or release, even when wearing gloves. A small detail that makes a difference in cold water.

Yamamoto limestone neoprene throughout. #39 for warmth and float. #40 for lower-resistance stretch. Lighter, more flexible and longer lasting than petroleum-based neoprene, with closed-cell structure that holds heat independently.
Simpel Windshield laminate
Our hydrophobic Windshield laminate on the back panel and hood sheds water, reduces wind chill and allows reinforced stitching for improved seam durability.
Thermally lined hood
Integrated hood with thermal lining throughout. Revised facial opening for improved peripheral vision and increase comfort in the water.
Abrasion-Resistant Knee Pads
Durable, abrasion-resistant knee pads provide protection in high-wear areas while maintaining flexibility and allowing a natural range of movement through the knees.
Super Stretch Recycled Rip-Stop jersey
Flexible, lightweight outer jersey for durability, comfort and performance.
Liquid Wrist & Ankle Seals
Soft, flexible liquid seals at the wrists and ankles sit comfortably against the skin, helping reduce water entry and flushing to maintain warmth in cold water.

Glued & Blind Stitched Seams
Our rubber panels are glued together and reinforced with blind stitching. The stitching penetrates only partway through the rubber, helping reduce water entry while maintaining seam strength, flexibility and warmth.
Yamamoto SCS tape (upper body)
Upper body seams reinforced internally with Yamamoto SCS tape. Holds the seam without restricting the neoprene's natural stretch.
Xtend thermal tape (lower body)
Lower body seams taped with Xtend Thermal and tape for seam strength and warmth continuity from thigh to ankle.

Feedback on the 3mm wetsuit:
Firstly, I have to admit that this wetsuit is the warmest 3mm wetsuit I have ever had. It is also extremely flexible, right from the first session. I have 2 small comments, which do not concern the performance, but the putting on and taking off. When putting it on, it happens a few times that the quick entry rolls in and it takes some effort to get the back parts smooth. After the session, it happened that the wetsuit got stuck on the arms, which made it difficult to take it off. I used the suit in Portugal. It's currently my favourite suit and has replaced the market companion from the USA (M....se).

The best suit I ever have
So confused to surf on the winter in Portugal
Worked it out at over 300 hours of use, in the 4/3 suit in the last year. Seams still secure, no loss of flex, wrists and ankles no shearing, and lining still has that nice fluffiness. Very well designed and practical for high use surfers. Goes on easy when wet, and drys quick between surfs. Full neoprene chest is a dream, and back panel is more than enough since wind is mostly at your back when off shore!.. emailed direct with questions before recently bought the 6/4, team were super helpful with ordering, and have to say so far the most comfortable winter suit i've worn, neck and hood are super flexy, doesn't feel restrictive, has thicker layer around ears tith flexy head and neck.. chest legs and bum warm, quality and durability are superior to my last two xcel winter wetsuits which only lasted a season and were falling apart at chest after about 60 hours in the water.. if you surf enough, you probably don't work as much, and wetsuits are a tough expense, then this is the suit for you, best quality and value to use ratio of any suit I've owned... if you're loaded and a label slut, get over yourself, and go simpel instead.
I have Simpel 3/2 wetsuit for summer and 4/3 for winter - both are great! Feels warm and comfortable to move.

this brand is all perfect 100 % , since the material they use to the assistance service. If all the shops,brand,office etc etc should , or better want to work like Simpel , the life will go more smoothly, more pleaseful. ciao
I am really happy with the quality and fit of the suit, it has kept me warm all through the winter in Portugal with no leaks or damage to seals or stitching.
Some of my favourite features of the suit are:
1. The silky smooth, soft lining which glides over my skin when putting it on, even when wet. It also dries crazy quickly!
2. The taped seams let no water in, even after trips over the falls (this happens a lot)
3. The ergo stitching around my arms and shoulders for easy paddling.
4. The look and design of the suit in general with low key subtle branding.
5. The fit, I am a stocky dude at 5’9” 95kgs and the large short fits me perfectly, it also didn’t stretch out and become baggy like many other brands do after a few months.
You can tell the Simpel people have put a lot of time and experience into the build of this suit and it shows. Love your work!
