It starts with a van then you load it with your crew and think about the sleeping arrangements later. The plan? Drive south, surf what shows up, document whatever happens along the way.
The first stop is Munich. Not exactly known for its surf, but that's kind of the point. The crew makes it work. A session at O2 Surftown, the city's wave pool, a proper sit-down in a Munich beer garden, and the kind of low-stakes procrastination that only comes with no fixed schedule.
Mckenzie Bowden lends his voice to keep the commentary running, helping you keep in the loop.
"The guy at the top said, maybe if you're lucky, you get one more. And I think I'm the only one that got one more. And then they're left out there. He's waiting. What are you waiting for?"
Mckenzie Bowden, EP1
What is Simpel Lines?
Simpel Lines EU is an honest capture of one of those classic summer road trips. A big van, a good crew, and the open road. Three crew members, four countries, whatever the ocean gave back.
Mckenzie Bowden helps knit together the journey from the UK through Germany, France, Spain, and Portugal. No script, no guaranteed swell. Just the road, the people, and what happened.
This is the first in what we hope will be an ongoing series of road trips, surf edits, and real travel content from the crew here at Simpel.
More is coming.
